Follow our adventuers to Alaska by Motor Coach as we complete a bucket list entry

Many of us have bucket lists. Ours includes a trip to Alaska. We are traveling by Motor Coach from our southern mountain home across our great United States to Seward's Folly, or the great frontier of Alaska. Sit back, relax, and enjoy our ride as we try to share our adventure with you.

Wyoming

We stopped in Buffalo Wyoming for the night.  Was hoping to visit the Woollen Mill, but since it was Saturday and I could not reach them, we found that there was not one there.  We'll try on our way back through Buffalo on our way home - will call and make an appointment on a week day though.  All you teachers out there--  where do these children on the very remote ranches go to school and how do they get there?  There were miles of interstate with no towns or people.  Boy, would there be a big culture shock moving to a ranch in Wyoming.  Stopped in Casper, Wyoming to visit the National Mountain Trails Interpretive Center.  I did not know that the Oregon, California, Morman and Pony Express Trailsl ALL went through Casper and had to cross the North Platte River.  You know how I like history - what a great center.  Hope to make it to the middle of  Montana tomorrow.

  1. I LOVE all these tidbits of information! We are such geeks! I guess those kids are homeschooled or sit on a bus for a VERY LONG time! I feel for the bus driver:). Looks like you are making great time and having a great time as well! It's a little different here; my adult and teen (I should call them children because thats how they act most of the time) are learning hard but valuable lessons this summer. I actually had to tell one of them to but on their "BG" panties and get over it! The garden is booming with tomatoes; cucumbers would be the same if I could beat Pumpkin to them! Can't wait to hear and see the Woollen Mill, hopefully you will be able to visit on the way home. Great to see your progress; drive safely. We love you both!
